The Department of Botany, CUJ stands as a testament to the power of dedication and collaboration in advancing plant science research and education. Since its inception in 2016, the department has grown into a thriving community of scholars, researchers, and students, united by a shared passion for understanding the intricacies of the plant kingdom. Our comprehensive academic programs, ranging from undergraduate to Ph.D. levels, are carefully crafted to equip students with a deep understanding of plant biology, as well as the skills to apply this knowledge in real-world scenarios. We take immense pride in our faculty members, who are not only renowned experts in their fields but also committed mentors and guides. Their tireless efforts have enabled us to establish a strong research culture, with a focus on cutting-edge areas like Plant Genomics, Plant Virology, Ecology, and Biotechnology. Our collaborations with national and international institutions have further enriched our research endeavours, allowing us to tackle complex challenges and contribute meaningfully to the global scientific community. Our department is also committed to providing a supportive and inclusive environment for our students, encouraging them to participate in academic and extracurricular activities through the Botanical Students Association (Eutierria). We celebrate our students' achievements and strive to provide them with opportunities for growth and development. I extend my heartfelt gratitude to, Prof. B.S.
