Welcome to the Department of Public Policy and Public Administration (PPPA) How do we apply the theories of public policy and public administration in solving various problems faced by the society? How can we prepare ourselves to solve the upcoming problems in future particularly in climate, health and education from a governance and public policy perspective? How can we contribute to nation’s capacity building programs through cross-cutting research in public administration and public policy? These are just some of the questions our faculties keep in mind and endeavour to address through their research, and also through engaging the students in debate within and outside the classrooms. This caters to the professional interests of the young students,who come to the Department of public Policy and Public Administration at Central University of Jammu to develop the skills to make a better global order. As we take our stride into the world of policy education, our distinctive approach is multi-disciplinary having a focus on solving societal problems. In this regard, we have taken a leaf out of Harold Lasswell’s policy science. To make an eminent centre of policy studies in the country, we need to continuously foray into unconventional areas through innovation and inclusion.
