Welcome to the Department of Mathematics at Central University of Jammu. The Department of Mathematics (sponsored by DST-FIST) is one among those that were established during its inception in 2011 and has proved its excellence in a short period in the form of transforming young students into competent and motivated professionals. The Department has currently six well-qualified, experienced faculty members and they have so far published around 200 research papers in reputed National/International Journals with high Impact Factors and also presented more than 50 research papers in National/International Conferences. The Department of Mathematics is offering Postgraduate and Ph.D. Programmes and going to start 5 Year Integrated Programs from 2024. The Department also supports the School of Engineering and other Departments of Basic and Applied Sciences. The faculty trains the students with strong fundamentals of theory and practical knowledge in Mathematics. Mathematics is the mother of science and the backbone of knowledge enhancement for scientists and engineers. Keeping this in view, our focus is to produce good professionals, scientists, and engineers equipped with modern mathematical tools and have a strong understanding of real-world Problems. The Department strives to inculcate Analytical, Computing, and Logical skills to future scientists, engineers, and researchers by Outcome Based Teaching-Learning Practices.
