The Department of National Security Studies, operating under the School, uses a comprehensive
approach to instill theoretical, empirical, and critical understanding of various security concepts
related to strategic studies, and international issues. The school’s area of focus is on internal
security, non-traditional security, border management practices, peace and conflict studies,
regional issues and other contemporary security scenarios. The school is offering structured
academic programs, such as M.A. and Ph.D in National Security Studies. The interdisciplinary
curriculum, drawing from diverse fields, prepares students for careers in academia, think-tanks,
policy consultancies, civil services, and non-governmental organizations.
As the Dean of the School of National Security Studies, I take pride in our institution's enduring tradition of delivering high-quality education that consistently fosters critical thinking, research excellence, and practical skills. The faculty members are highly accomplished in policy research, national security, and international studies, bringing scholarly expertise to adeptly integrate theoretical frameworks with pragmatic application. We promote an inclusive learning atmosphere, emphasizing social responsibility and empowering students/scholars to spearhead innovation and meaningful contribution to nation building.
