I have the privilege of welcoming you to the department of Social Work at CUJ. In a short period since its creation in 2014, the Department has achieved significant milestones in teaching, practice and re-search. Not only it has helped many young minds translate dreams irrespective of their areas of inter-est in social work but also has contributed to understanding of complex social problems with rigour and insights. With an exemplary dedicated faculty and diverse specialisations, the department has built a strong synergy in education, research and community engagement. The PhD and Master's Pro-grammes at the Department have been acclaimed for their orientation, content and relevance. With world class infrastructure, the Department also strives to equip the students to work towards a hu-mane, progressive and inclusive society. Constant support, evaluation and concern by the faculty for the students in advancing discourses for community building makes the department an aspiring desti-nation.
