Dean's Message

Dear all,

The School of Education (SoE), Central University of Jammu, is founded on a noble vision to yield competent, creative, and dynamic teachers and teacher educators. Our goal is not only to provide a solid academic foundation in their respective areas but also to equip them with the necessary professional skills and reflective mindset to address the changing needs of our society with the implementation of NEP-2020. Our commitment to excel in teacher education requires a continual, laborious, and sustained effort. We are at present living in a world that is becoming increasingly global, interconnected, fast-changing, complex, and unpredictable. In this situation, teachers can play a leading role. Through education, the human being can be developed to its full potential with knowledge and skills. An educational organization has to pursue knowledge and skill simultaneously. The learning has to be progressive. The ability to learn or constant learning is now recognized as a leadership quality. However, teachers are the leaders who not only lead their students in the classroom but also play a key role in leading the entire humanity. The school of education focuses on providing all opportunities to prepare such teachers who will lead the people and society both at the local and global levels.

With this vision and mission, the school is focused on providing a transformative learning experience, equipping students with the knowledge and skills necessary for success in the ever-evolving field of education. We take pride in our innovative curriculum, research initiatives, and collaborative approach to learning. We encourage faculties, research scholars, and students to actively engage in diverse educational activities for their professional development. The faculties are supported to enhance their intellectual abilities and enthusiasm to contribute significantly to the vibrant academic community we aim to foster. Let's work together for the School of Education that not only maintains the utmost academic excellence but also acts as a wellspring of inspiration and positive influence in the education sector. Collectively, we can foster an atmosphere where our students flourish and become significant contributors to the advancement of society.

My best wishes to the future teachers as leaders of the country.
